Mike Schlup for Mayor

I'm running for Cuckfield Mayor this year. To help raise money we're planning various fundraising events, mostly involving beer or me in pain, or both. Following are the main dates and if you can come along to any of them and have some fun that would be great. Hopefully we'll raise a few squids for local charities and, and this is the biggy, if we raise enough then you get to see me squirming in full Mayor's regalia at various village events. You will probably guess from the list below that I am running for, and supported by, The Rose & Crown pub. They will be launching a limited edition burger and 'NightMayor' shot to help boost the coffers.

The main event is the sponsored 24 hours rowing challenge when, together with Adam and Katie, we intend to row non-stop for 24 hours, covering at least 250,000 metres. The Oktober Fest is also set to be a good old knees up and I may even whip my accordian out if you're lucky.

• 18th Oct: Election Night

I really hope that you'll be able to come along to at least one of the events and help me reach my target. I'll keep you updated of details ahead of each event but let me know if you think of anything else I could be doing.
